These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of services provided by Gem Movers (“we”, “our”, “us”). By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Services
Gem Movers provides moving and relocation services, including but not limited to:
Residential moving
Office relocation
Packing and unpacking
Furniture transport
Local and interstate moves
All services are subject to availability and confirmation.
3. Quotes & Pricing
All quotes are estimates only based on the information provided by the customer.
Final pricing may vary depending on:
Actual volume or weight of items
Access conditions (stairs, lifts, distance)
Additional services requested
Additional charges may apply for:
Delays beyond our control
Difficult access
Heavy or oversized items
We will always aim to inform you of any changes before proceeding.
4. Bookings & Payments
A booking is confirmed once you receive confirmation from us.
We may require a deposit to secure your booking.
Full payment must be made upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed.
We accept payment via approved methods (bank transfer, cash, or other agreed options).
5. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
Provide accurate and complete information about your move
Ensure clear and safe access to both pickup and delivery locations
Be present (or have a representative) during pickup and delivery
Properly pack fragile or valuable items (unless packing service is booked)
Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in delays or additional charges.
6. Packing & Handling
If packing services are not selected, customers are responsible for safe packing.
We are not liable for damage to:
Items packed by the customer
Fragile items not properly disclosed
We reserve the right to refuse transport of unsafe or improperly packed items.
7. Prohibited Items
We do not transport:
Hazardous or flammable materials
Illegal items
Perishable goods (unless agreed)
Pets or live animals
It is your responsibility to ensure no prohibited items are included.
8. Delays
While we aim to operate on schedule, delays may occur due to:
Traffic conditions
Weather
Mechanical issues
Access restrictions
Gem Movers will not be held liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.
9. Damage & Liability
We take reasonable care in handling your items.
Any damage must be reported at the time of delivery or within 24 hours.
Our liability is limited to:
Repair of the item, or
Replacement value (subject to assessment)
We are not liable for:
Pre-existing damage
Normal wear and tear
Items of extraordinary value unless declared in advance
10. Insurance
Basic liability coverage may apply where required by law.
We strongly recommend customers arrange comprehensive transit insurance for valuable items.
11. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellations must be made at least [24–48 hours] before the scheduled move.
Late cancellations may incur a cancellation fee.
Deposits may be non-refundable depending on notice provided.
We will always try to accommodate rescheduling requests where possible.
12. Access Conditions
Customers must ensure:
Adequate parking space
Elevator bookings (if required)
No restrictions preventing access
Additional costs may apply if:
Long carry distances are involved
Multiple stairs or difficult entry points exist
13. Storage Services (If Applicable)
Stored items are kept at the customer’s risk unless insured.
Storage fees must be paid in advance or as agreed.
We reserve the right to charge additional fees for late payments.
14. Website Use
By using our website, you agree:
Not to misuse or interfere with the website
Not to attempt unauthorized access
That all content remains the property of Gem Movers

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We are committed to protecting your data under Australian privacy laws.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Gem Movers is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability is limited to the cost of the service provided
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in this region.
